Since a young age I have always viewed my surroundings with intrigue and fascination, spurring me to want to contribute to the environment around me through architecture. From this point forward I knew that I wanted to work in the construction industry. As this field is creative it plays to my strengths as it will allow me to challenge myself every day in a positive and forward thinking way.
Modern architecture is what interests me the most, along with new technology and construction methods that have never been seen before. I take a lot of inspiration from Zaha Hadid architects and how they develop their concepts. In terms of work experience I have visited small firms in London and worked small jobs for them, along with the planning office with my local council, Brent. I have also interned at McAlpine during the London Olympics construction where I was fortunate enough to witness and experience the construction process. In the future I would love to work on projects at a large scale of similar proportions to the Olympics.
