My interest in design dates back to my secondary education, where I excelled in engineering and other design orientated subjects – I have always had a keen interest in them. It seemed logical for me at that point to therefore pursue a career of a becoming designer or being involved in the design world.

When I began my 3D Design course at college, I had an enormous opportunity to solidify my intense interest in a design industry subject. I thoroughly enjoyed expanding my knowledge at college and it has helped me with my work whilst I have been at University.

In realm of architecture, I have developed a strong passion in field of CAD modelling which I have been reinforcing the skill ever since my first day at a university. One of my main interests within architecture is using computer software such as grasshopper in order to create algorithmic design much similar to the style of Zaha Hadid.

Apart from being a full-time student, I am also participating within additional units connected with my subjects to research beyond the teaching curriculum.
Within the university one of the roles which I am undertaking is a CAD teaching assistant of Unit 230. This unit helps me spread my knowledge with other younger students hoping to develop their representation and communication skills.

Another function I have undertaken and the role I'm most interested about whilst studying, is the Media Hub. Media Hub is a small lab led by students which has been demonstrated by a tutor (Alessandro Melis) and executed from scratch by 2 students (myself and Michael Brewster). This explorative lab allows us to instruct other students, including Masters and undergraduate about many advanced digital designing (grasshopper. etc) and/or fabrication methods (3D printing etc.) not currently known about by many students limiting their design potential.
