Architecture has been my passion since a very early age, so I can never quite remember why I was so set on this career. I suppose my reasons for pursuing architecture today is the ability to change the urban fabric, but also the way in which design can have such an impact on someone or something is really aspirational. My main interests within the modern-day architecture are the advances of generative design. Though I also consider generative design as a pitfall within the industry, I realize the potential of utilizing this technology.
Particular architects and designers I like are Glenn Murcutt, Heatherwick Studios, and Archigram. My previous experience of the industry include Arup (Summer 2017, Intern), Sound Garden (Summer 2017, lead structural designer) and Chapman Taylor (2 weeks, Work experience). During my studies, I have found an interested in designing a multitude of different complexes, but I mostly enjoy residential and masterplanning.
