As a former carpenter/joiner I decided to begin an education in architecture based on many years’ experience of having already worked in the construction industry. Having spent time in the practical world of building, I felt that I wanted to become more involved in the design element of the project.
In terms of my interests in architecture, I enjoy the precision of pre-fabricated, modular architecture combined with traditional forms and materials. I currently work for the Isle of Wight branch of Mitchell Evans Architects, based in Guildford, but I would like to potentially be involved with experimental and unique social housing design in the future.
